Joining 14 other innovative finalists across four categories, this recognition underscores our commitment to minimizing food waste and enhancing access to protein nutrition in East Africa.
Our efforts have led to a remarkable reduction of over 50% in carbon footprints within our value chain, thanks to our use of renewable energy and an innovative cold chain distribution platform that makes these solutions both affordable and accessible.
Established by HRH Prince William in 2020, the Earthshot Prize is one of the world’s most prestigious environmental awards, granting each finalist £1 million to support their groundbreaking solutions. Over the past four years, the prize has highlighted and fostered initiatives crucial for achieving a stable climate, where communities, oceans, and biodiversity can thrive together.
Hailing from every continent, this year’s 15 Finalists were selected from The Earthshot Prize’s most competitive pool of nominations yet – a total of nearly 2,500 solutions representing 139 countries.
