On November 6, 2024, HRH Prince William announced Keep IT Cool as the Earthshot Prize Winner in the Build a Waste-Free World category. This prestigious accolade comes with a catalytic £1 million prize, empowering us to scale our innovative solutions and amplify our impact.
This recognition is a testament to our commitment to enhancing market access, reducing waste, and improving climate resilience for small-scale fish and poultry farmers across the region. By achieving a 98% reduction in food waste, Keep IT Cool is making a significant difference for both people and the planet.
To date, we have collaborated with over 3,000 fisherfolk, provided solar-powered refrigerators to more than 300 businesses, and supplied over 1,900 metric tons of sustainably produced white meat. Our vision is to impact 1.6 million lives by 2030, fostering a more sustainable and equitable food system.
Established by Prince William in 2020, The Earthshot Prize is an international environmental award designed to incentivize and support innovative solutions to pressing environmental challenges, aiming to protect and restore the planet by 2030.
